ACEH TSUNAMI MUSEUM

For the next posting, I will introduce to you all one of the landmarks aceh, especially in the provincial capital banda aceh aceh.

According to Eddy Purwanto sebagaiPenggagas Museum of BRR Aceh tsunami Aceh, this museum was built with 3 reasons:
1. to commemorate the victims of the Tsunami disaster
2. As a center of education for the younger generation about the safety
3. As the evacuation center if the tsunami comes again. "

The museum details the planning, sites and monuments tsunami will begin in August 2006 and construction will be built on land approximately 10.000 square located in the provincial capital of Aceh Darussalam Nanggroes Banda Aceh Kotamadaya fund budget of about USD 140 billion with the details of Rp 70 billion from the Board Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Agency (BRR) for the building and the other half from the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) for its contents also contain a variety of objects remaining heritage tsunami.

"ESCAPE AS ACEH Rumoh HILL" Champion TSUNAMI ACEH DESIGN MUSEUM

Design Rumoh Aceh Escape Hill M Ridwan Kamil's work ultimately won the contest design contest Tsunami Museum in Aceh after defeating the 68 designs that meet all the requirements that have been established committees of the total 153 works that go as I quoted from Online.Pengumuman Melayu DetikNet and issued by the committee that on Friday (17/08/2007) in the space of Sultan Selim II, Community Center Aceh, Banda Aceh. The first winner pocketed the prize entitled to Rp 100 million, from the total prize Rp 275 million.


"We chose Rumoh Aceh as Escape Hill as the winner because he almost met all the judging criteria. Not just a building monuments, but also a monumental tsunami museum. In Ridwan illustrates the design of natural disaster in a building which also express tsunami December 26, 2004 "said one juror Kamal A Arief told journalists after the announcement.

    A paradise? Do you think it is a paradise when people still live in a miserable place and unforgettable terror? I don't think so. It's a horror for the people to see this gigantic building. What else can we say, It's already built. Hopefully the government who is ordered to run this museum would be smart enough to make this building useful for everyone.
